We calculate an approximation of the Green House Gas (GHG) emissions reductions achieved (on a monthly basis) from our respective clients individual waste streams. This allows HWS to provide a comprehensive comparable break down of the GHG emissions reduction benefits, derived from our professional waste management services, to the client. A monthly emissions reductions report is produced for each client with comprehensible equivalency factors denoted within. For example – by recycling amount A (as opposed to landfill) we can estimate that the GHG emissions reduction will be amount B.
We additionally offer complementary environmental advice/ waste management advice, where applicable, and we strive to meet the needs of our respective clients.
Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP’s) are the result of government legislation to encourage a reduction in the amount of waste produced on construction sites by law. The plans are made up of structured criteria which enable waste producers to consider how they produce and manage waste.
SWMP’s have been in force in England since April 2008. However in Scotland, Northern Ireland, & Wales SWMPs are not yet a criminal enforcement although a SWMP will help businesses to manage waste materials professionally and efficiently. This consequently helps businesses to minimize waste production and less waste subsequently equals large cost savings.
